Pliezhausen, April 14, 2021. HELLA, the internationally operating German automotive supplier, relies on IT service provider DATAGROUP (WKN A0JC8S). DATAGROUP will operate large parts of the company’s data center infrastructure in the DATAGROUP Private Cloud.

As part of the further development of its IT strategy, HELLA had been looking for a reliable partner to realign and manage the IT services in the data center sector. Being one of the leading suppliers of the automotive industry, security and stability was paramount for HELLA: Production downtimes must be avoided at all costs, and the high service level agreements must always be complied with. IT service provider DATAGROUP convinced the company with its CORBOX offer and won the tender.

In the future, data center services will no longer be operated on premise, in the data centers of HELLA, but from the DATAGROUP Private Cloud and the path to the cloud will be supported, respectively. This includes server infrastructures with storage and backup systems as well as dedicated servers for the operation of the complete SAP system landscape under Oracle for 24/7 operations and the migration of the systems to SAP HANA. To guarantee system stability DATAGROUP’s private cloud offers high availability and geo-redundant storage. A comprehensive backup system ensures the availability of data. HELLA has around 36,000 employees at over 125 locations in some 35 countries, who need reliable access to the data center infrastructure. The DATAGROUP Data Centers are connected to the world’s largest internet hub in Frankfurt, which enables high availability “Made in Germany”.
