Pliezhausen, December 12, 2016. DATAGROUP SE (WKN A0JC8S) reports a change in the Supervisory Board. Klaus Hardy Mühleck has resigned from office prematurely for professional reasons. Thus, Stuttgart-based IT entrepreneur Dr. Helmut Mahler was appointed to the Supervisory Board by court order with effect from December 7, 2016.
Klaus Hardy Mühleck had been appointed to the Supervisory Board of DATAGROUP by the Annual General Meeting in March 2016. His resignation from office is related to his occupational change from the ThyssenKrupp Group to the Federal Defence Ministry, where Mühleck has assumed leadership of the cyber and information security division. The newly established division is to lay the foundation for the further professionalisation of the German Armed Forces in information and cyberspace and to strategically control the Forces’ digitisation projects.
“We deeply regret the early retirement of Klaus Hardy Mühleck from the Supervisory Board of DATAGROUP SE”, comments DATAGROUP CEO Max H.-H. Schaber. “Mr. Mühleck has significantly enriched the Supervisory Board’s work with his wealth of experience. Even though he had been a member for only a few months, he has provided important impetus for the company’s further successful development. We would like to thank him very much for his commitment and wish him every success in his challenging and important role within the Ministry!”
Dr.-Ing. Helmut Mahler will fill the vacant position in the Supervisory Board of DATAGROUP by court order. Following his doctorate at the Institute for Information Processing Technology at the University of Karlsruhe, Mahler initially worked at the IBM research laboratory in Zurich before he joined the Daimler Group. He held various management positions in IT management at Daimler, most recently as Vice President and CIO Daimler Trucks. Since 2014, Mahler has been managing partner of IT security specialist Code White GmbH.
“We are pleased to have secured another renowned IT expert for the Supervisory Board in the person of Helmut Mahler”, says Heinz Hilgert, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DATAGROUP SE. “Dr. Mahler has a very broad specialist and entrepreneurial knowledge and is very familiar with both the IT industry and the requirements of DATAGROUP’s client companies from his own personal experience. We look very much forward to our future cooperation with him.”
The judicial appointment of Dr. Helmut Mahler will remain in effect until the next AGM of DATAGROUP SE in March 2017.
