Pliezhausen, 27 June 2023. DATAGROUP relies on innovative technologies to address applicants: From now on the IT service provider will use a chatbot on its career website providing information on why DATAGROUP is the right employer. The AskIT chatbot has been developed by AI experts of DATAGROUP and is based on ChatGPT, which means it acts like a human contact. The program will be available around the clock, seven days a week, to assist applicants, and it can answer questions about applications and working at DATAGROUP.
“The bot is in no way intended to replace the personal contact between us and our applicants. We rather see it as another low threshold contact channel for job seekers interested in learning more about our company”, explains Dr. Sabine Laukemann, Chief Human Resources Officer, Organization and Strategy.
The company has drawn on diverse and innovative ways for years to retain the interest of applicants and to eventually recruit them. Alongside the classical way of recruiting through job advertisements, which continues to be open for everyone, the IT service provider has developed a browser-based puzzle game, amongst others. A person who solves the seven tricky levels will be invited to a personal interview.
“We think differently, we work differently, and we find better solutions – this is a motto DATAGROUP has been living by for years. The chatbot has been developed by our colleagues and is a pilot and testing ground for us in human resources. We view it as a test and would be delighted if many applicants give it a trial”, says Dr. Sabine Laukemann.
