With the approval of mobile devices from Apple and Samsung, Drees & Sommer has made a decision for a strategy of device diversity. The broad acceptance for the productive use of mobile end devices is demonstrated by the strong growth in the number of official Drees & Sommer devices. There was also a marked growth in the use of private devices in the business environment.
At the same time, the previous manual recording and configuration of the devices led to a high expenditure of time, costs and coordination. The disadvantages that arose included extended waiting times for users and a lack of inventory of the devices. In addition, the support options were very limited.
Increasing security risks and the requirements of the EU-DSGVO posed further challenges in the previous approach.

The use of the DATAGROUP CORBOX Mobile Device Management Platform (MDM) creates security, transparency and control when using mobile devices. The rollout as well as the administration of smartphones and tablets is based on secure and effective procedures. Economic efficiency as well as data security are increased and the protection of sensitive data is enhanced. This facilitates provisioning, registration and configuration.
For Drees & Sommer, the productive use of mobile devices – smartphones and tablets – is a decisive factor in its consulting services.
With the help of the DATAGROUP CORBOX Mobile Device Management Platform, the complete administration of Drees & Sommer’s mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) could be realized. The average provisioning time per device has been reduced by a factor of five. Both iOS Apple and Android devices are managed in the MDM solution.
Drees & Sommer’s Active Directory was integrated into the MDM to synchronize user accounts.
With the help of the MDM solution, users are provided directly with apps for their daily work as well as the necessary WLAN configurations simply and easily.
